comfortable not-paper sun-viewing lens.
Tested in texas at High Noon in the summer, its ready for October duty. AND March!
No issues at viewing BOB/Helios/our local star.
Takes up as much space as my pile of 10 paper solar glasses, but... SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE.
This one is mine, and the rest of the family can mess with paper. Just kidding. These will go on the 7 year old so he's comfortable and doesn't mess up with the little paper folders.

So one of my children has a habit of just looking at the sun. Like I'm really excited cuz I'll be able to use them when we have solar eclipses but for some reason he just wants to stare at the sun. And obviously sunglasses aren't really going to help out with that but these should help. Because they're made just for that. They are really really dark so they're much darker than normal glasses so that should help keep his vision intact while he stares at the brightest thing in the sky.

I'm planning on viewing totality during the 2024 solar eclipse. Having these glasses handy will make for a much more enjoyable experience than dealing with paper glasses.
They blacken out just about everything except the sun on a bright day with no clouds. The sun was dimmed and the few things not blackened turned shades of brown.
They are lightweight and comfortable. They fit well over my glasses.
Can't wait until next year.

I am beginning my prep for the 2024 eclipse and got these glasses for it. Never seen an eclipse, never had glasses that blocked out so much light... Today is full on Florida sun, but for a few clouds. I put the glasses over my camera lens and what I could see when looking at the sun is in the photo. Looking straight ahead when wearing these glasses was startling - not a glimmer of light. I imagine these will be just what the doctor ordered for looking at the eclipse. They seem well made, sturdy. I expect to wear them only once, and am relying on them to do exactly what they appear to do.

Obviously, I can't thoroughly test these glasses until there is an actual solar eclipse, but I wanted to go ahead and get them since the BIG solar eclipse coming up will happen right over our town. Last time, we just had paper viewing glasses, and these are a definite upgrade. They are not as good of quality as real sunglasses, as they are made of lighter and cheaper plastic. But they do look like real sunglasses and are way better looking and more durable than paper eclipse viewing glasses. They are comfortable to wear and have very very dark lenses. I tested them out by looking at various lights in my home, and I can faintly make out a dim outline of a light bulb, the rest of the viewing area is pitch black. They kind of curve around your face to block out other light also, so I'm guessing these will do a good job on the big solar eclipse day. Can't wait!
